First beta back!

208.7!!!  That’s the highest first beta I have ever had, and higher than my beta was with E2 on the same day (13DPO, his was 143.)  Additionally, my last m/c, my beta at 15DPO was 143….so I’m higher than that and 2 days earlier.  I know technically none of those comparisons mean anything, but it all makes me feel better.

Both of my boys were early implanters and had nice high betas from the beginning (E1 was 79 at 7DPO.) This was is also an early implanter and the betas look great so far. My nearly constant nausea continues and my breasts hurt like crazy.  And, I feel confident. I feel good. I caught myself touching my belly today. I can’t tell you how many women have told me “I just knew” it would work out…or not work out. With my last miscarriage, it felt wrong from the beginning.  This one feels good, it feels strong.

I’ll do two more beta draws on Wed. and Friday.  Assuming everything looks good there I will attempt to chill out until I can do a 6 week ultrasound.  Thanks for listening everyone!

I have been following your blog for a while now but have never commented. So glad to see this pregnancy is starting off strong!! It gives me great hope!

My husband (29) and I (27) have been trying for our first baby for over a year now. In that year we have had 2 chemical pregnancies and 1 missed miscarriage (almost identical to your last miscarriage, we even had the same betas on the same DPO.) We have just started seeing a specialist for testing, so far everything has been 100% normal. Hoping our next positive test results in a healthy baby. Best of luck to you this pregnancy! – Holly

      Holly,

Thank you for commenting and for your well wishes, they mean a lot to me. I’m so sorry to hear what you have been through, it is so difficult and especially when trying for your first baby. I’m glad to hear you are seeing a specialist. Hopefully the extra set of eyes and testing will be what you need to have a healthy pregnancy. Please keep me posted on your progress!

I just thought I would drop by and give you an update. I check here often and am so happy this pregnancy is going well for you! I tested positive about a week ago at 10dpo and my betas are looking very strong and much better than my last 3 pregnancies that resulted in losses. Its still very early and I don’t have my 1st appointment for another 3 weeks but that “gut feeling” you have talked about, that everything is going to work out – I have it! I just know this is going to work out!!

Yay yay yay yay yay!! That is a fantastic number!! With our first that resulted in an m/c we had a low number and the second time around had a higher number and everything just felt different !! I can relate and I’m soooo happy!! You are in my prayers!!
